A occasional trip to a casino establishment is fun entertainment. You just have to keep in mind that the house always wins in the long run. Only lose what you can afford to lose. And if you win, enjoy it.

Yes, I went last night, won $296 on slots. I am not much of a gambler but it is fun every now and then. I think it is good that we are keeping our money here instead of sending it elsewhere. Ky should have opened one in the former Jillian's location.

I voted for the casino. Every day since the first piece of sod was dug, I have passed the site. It is quite a place. Go to Las Vegas every summer. It will be interesting to see how they compare. It will be wonderful to take the notion and go gamble.

The new casino offers entertainment seekers another great option. Whether it be gaming or dining, something new is always exciting. I have always patronized Hollywood Casino, but I am looking forward to visiting the new Horseshoe when it opens.

As long as you can afford it and consider it entertainment and not a way to make money, why not?

If there's 16" of snow on the ground and my car broke down near Broadway Commons and my cell phone battery was dead and it was late at night -- I would enter the casino to get warm and to make a phone call for roadside assistance

I don't like to gamble. I may have to take my elderly uncle at some point to play the slots but I could care less. Sad that you can't raise taxes a dime or two for schools but people will throw it away at a casino.

It's a disgrace to open a casino and steal money from people when the economy is so bad! Newport was bad enough when it had all of the corruption from gambling and prostitution and now the filth and degradation is being brought back to this area again.

Downtown is scary and what if there's a jail break or something....has anyone even considered that? I for one, will keep a wide berth from that den of debauchery and fatty food and booze and general sinful behavior.

I taught math so I know the odds. Just as soon toss money in a trash can as give to a casino. Maybe visit the restaurants, but the casino holds no appeal except as a 'loser's zoo.'

The four best teams should play. Typically, those involve conference or league chamnpions. Sometimes, they don't. The NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and every other college football level allows the four best teams to play. The Big 10 is blocking what is best.
